Human activities disrupt their environment through different types of pollution. An environmental monitoring system is a device that uses sensors spread over an area to monitor certain indicators of environmental quality. From the data collected by the sensors, it is possible to create a profile of the health of an environment. The ideal is to have a real-time control system. Continuous monitoring allows to observe environmental changes in the air and in the water. Real-time control also makes it possible to detect events of pollution peaks.
Whether it’s air quality, water quality or noise pollution, environmental monitoring has several objectives. First, identify the different types of pollution. What are the factors involved in the disruption of an ecosystem? Then you have to qualify them in terms of importance and location to get a clear picture of the situation.
