98% of the world's Internet travels by submarine cables, and more than a million km of submarine cables are placed at the bottom of the oceans!
SINAY joins the International Cable Protection Committee. ICPC ( https://www.iscpc.org/) brings together more than 175 subsea cable operators in more than 60 countries. The submarine cables carry either electrical energy (power cables) or information (Internet cables). The global association of more than 60 years already well anchored in the ecosystem, allows all its members to meet and exchange regularly on the novelties and the changes of regulation. This organization is also consulted by numerous governments and organizations, and has recently been appointed as a referent for cable actors at the IMO (UN-based International Maritime Organization).
Stéphane Alain RIOU, VP Sales and Marketing of SINAY, had made an intervention on the Big Data maritime, during the last general assembly of the ICPC last April in Cape Town in South Africa.
Integrating ICPC allows SINAY to get closer to its customers in this very dynamic economic sector, and to introduce them to our digital solutions. SINAY offers a SINAY Cable application, which offers several useful features for owners and operators of submarine cables: optimization of installation routes, analysis of hooking risks (trawl or anchor), monitoring dashboards, preventive maintenance. ..
In short, many collaborations are coming thanks to the ICPC!
